Personal Training

Personal Training sessions will consist of me meeting you at your desired location whether that is the comfort of your own home with no distractions or intimidation from other gym users, or for those of you who like the outdoors like I do, we could meet at the Beach or a local Park, I will bring the equipment necessary for each session. Alternatively I also have access to a gym for anyone who prefers a gym enviroment and would like to use specific gym equipment. We will over time work towards achieving your goals, whether they are:

- Improving Fitness
- General or Specific Toning
- Weight or Fat Loss
- Healthy Lifestyle Changes
- Among many more goals that are individual to your needs

You will be guided along the way by myself and me only so it wont be changed from instructor to instructor as to keep it Personal and consistent. I will make each session Fun and Challenging, as fitness is and should be fun, but also functional to your goals.
Here are Amy & Charlie doing a boxing session (pads and gloves), which are one of many work outs I can do with my clients. Amy & Charlie both do personal training together with me on a weekly basis. Doing personal training with family or friends not only makes the sessions cheaper (£20 per person) but also makes the sessions more enjoyable.

I met Ross Cooper when he did my Induction at the Avenue Lawn tennis club Gym in Jan 2013 I wanted to join the gym to try and lose weight for a snowboard holiday I booked in April 2013 (I had not boarded in 10 years due to kids etc) I also wanted to be stronger so I could snowboard at 45 years old from 9 - 5pm for the 10 day holiday I thought Ross was a great guy, great personality and great knowledge of nutrition and fitness so I booked Ross in a for a few one to one gym sessions to start with see how I like it Ross motivated me as I worked harder in front of him than if I was on my own in the gym I also couldn't cancel and not bother going to the gym as Ross had the session in his diary within 3 months of approximately 20 x 1 hour sessions with Ross Cooper in the GYM I had lost 2 stone in weight and was about 14.5 stone in the first week in April 2013 just in time for my snowboard holiday I had the most amazing snowboard holiday as I felt fitter in myself to complete the full 7 day holiday When I returned from holiday I kept seeing Ross a couple of times a month to advise me on nutrition and for more gym sessions my aim now was to try and lose more weight and get running again I used to run in 1999 only up to 10k (6 miles) but I had been lazy and not run for a long time approx 5 years Until I met ross for a gym session one day when he said nice day lets go for a run outside for a few miles!!  said I couldnt ?? not sure I would be able to ??? I managed a couple of slow miles with Ross that day then he said why dont you enter the great south run in Oct 2013 I thought I would never be able to run that far at my age and fitness I did as I had lost more weight thanks to Ross I had lost another half a stone I had got down to 14 stone and finished the 10 mile race in 1 hr 36 mins I was so buzzing I said to Ross I want to do a marathon so that was it I managed to get a charity place in London Marathon 2014 and Ross helped me with my programme and fitness and I completed it in 4hr 13 mins I carried on seeing Ross for one to one sessions and have just completed my second marathon in Liverpool in 4 hrs 9 mins I was 13 half stone before the Liverpool marathon!!! so lost another half a stone I am absolutely buzzing thanks to ross cooper as if it wasnt for him I would not have had the motivation to keep going and the encouragement he gives me great geeza he is a mate even though he does support Watford He is working me harder than ever now for my first ultra marathon in Sept 14 35 miler!!! hope to be less than 13 stone before that one and one day crack the 4 hour marathon time we will see I know ross will help me Cheers Ross your help has also spread to the rest of my family they have all started running now and all lost weight many thanks you should be very proud of making an old fat Northern lad very very happy and his family!

After having a total knee replacement I met Ross when I decided ten months ago to begin a fitness programme. I knew that I needed a personal trainer as I’ve known a few people who do not have one and they have had no success getting fitter and, in some cases, have actually injured themselves.

I found Ross a sympathetic and understanding trainer, he appreciated that I had not done any work at the gym for many years and he has helped me progress to a point where I can walk well for longer distances, lift and stretch at home which helps me with my chores and generally enjoy life more.

I would recommend Ross because he is cheerful and understanding and encourage me when i start to flag.

"I had been recruited to take part in a charity 10K race and never having been particularly active, I knew that I would need some help. On joining my local gym, I met Ross and have never looked back. He said he loved a challenge and that is what he got! His encouragement and motivation has helped me increase my general fitness levels; my attitude to exercise has changed completely and I feel really good. I’ve run in the London 10K for the last 4 years and I couldn’t possibly have done that without Ross’ support. He is always completely focussed on helping me achieve my full potential and I’m truly thankful to him, for that."

I am a senior citizen with a serious illness. I was becoming less and less mobile and needed to do some exercise that did not worsen my medical condition. Ross understood immediately and tailored exercises that helped enormously. I would recommend him to anyone.

"I have been working with Ross as my personal trainer for nearly two years, my weekly morning workout with Ross, together with a sensible food regime has led to me looking much more toned and shedding over three stone in the last 12 months. Unlike previous personal trainers I have used, Ross ensures that his sessions are never repetitive or boring. He injects a fun and broad variety of excercises from aerobic to pilates type work, running and even boxing, always great when I’ve had a tough week!”
